Welcome to the South Tyneside 765 diving club website.

We are a small friendly club formed in 1975, who dive off the North East coast. We run trips to Scotland in the winter and occasionally further afield

Local Diving
We mainly dive off our coast and visit many unknown wrecks which we have found over the years.
There are about 160 known wrecks along our immediate coastline from Sunderland to Blyth.

Trips away
Recent destinations included : Sound of Mull, Cornwall, St Kilda, Firth of Forth, Isle of Man & Indonesia

Training

Theory lessons are held at Simonside Youth Club on a Thursday evening from 7.30pm

Pool training is organised as required.

Open Water training takes place in the North Sea, and the many excellent fresh-water locations around the region, including Capernwray Diving Centre in Lancashire.

 

Training Available

The club offers training in almost every BSAC qualification, available in-house, being taught by some of the regions most experienced divers.

Courses available include the following:
Club Diver, Sports Diver, Diver Leader, Advanced Diver, First Class Diver.

This year we have run Nitrox, First Aid for Divers and Lifesaver courses

We are committed to safe diver training and progressing the experience of each diver under training at their own speed
